Questions
Will it fit my vehicle?
Any standard 2-inch receiver — most trucks, SUVs and vans. Nothing gets drilled and nothing bolts to the body. On a 1.25-inch receiver, email us before you order.
Cook Station, Camp Kitchen or Hitch Kitchen — which one?
The Cook Station is a prep and cook surface on the hitch — the cheapest way in. The Camp Kitchen adds real storage alongside the prep space. The Hitch Kitchen is the full build: sink, dual burners and a water pump.
Do I still need a folding table?
No. The receiver carries the weight, so there's nothing to level and nothing to pack. The prep surface is part of the unit.
How does the water and propane work?
The Hitch Kitchen runs an onboard water pump you fill yourself — no plumbing, no hookup. Burners run off a standard propane tank.
Can I open my tailgate with the kitchen mounted?
Yes. The patented dual-swing arm rotates the whole unit clear, so you keep full access while it's mounted and while you're cooking.
What about shipping, returns and warranty?
Fast ground shipping from the USA, free returns if it isn't right, and two years on all hardware. Kitchens are oversize, so they take a little longer to leave the shop than a grill does.
Do you ship outside the US and Canada?
We ship direct within the US and Canada. Anywhere else, you can order to a US freight forwarder, or we'll quote the whole order for you. See how international orders work or request a quote.
Questions
Does it work on a fifth wheel?
Yes. Fifth wheels and 5th wheel toy haulers almost always carry a frame-mounted receiver at the rear, and that's where the kitchen goes — same standard 2-inch receiver, same swing arm.
A kitchen is heavier than a grill, so confirm that receiver is rated to carry weight rather than just tow. Some rear receivers on towables are rated for light loads only. Send us a photo of the back of your rig and we'll tell you straight, including if the answer is no.
Will my travel trailer, RV or van receiver take it?
Same check as above, and it's the one to settle first. On a van a frame-mounted hitch is normally fine. On a motorhome or bumper-pull trailer, confirm the receiver is frame-mounted and cargo-rated before you order.
Can the burners run off my onboard propane?
Yes, with the RV Quick Connect Kit — it ties into your onboard tank or a portable one and supports up to 20,000 BTU. No electrical power needed, and no second bottle taking up a bay.
Why cook outside when I already have a galley?
Heat, smell and grease. Frying fish or searing steak inside a van or coach lingers for days and coats everything. An outside kitchen keeps the cooking out of the space you sleep in, and gives you real prep room you don't have to clear first.
I tow a bumper-pull — doesn't that use the hitch?
On the tow vehicle, yes: with a bumper-pull hitched, the receiver is occupied. That's the honest answer. A fifth wheel is different — it connects by kingpin in the truck bed, so your rear receiver isn't what the hitch uses. Either way, most trailer owners mount the kitchen on the trailer's own rear receiver, which means you never unhitch to cook.
What about weather and travel days?
It stays mounted — swing it in, pin it, drive. A weather cover is available for the Hitch Kitchen and Cook Station, which is worth having if the rig lives outside year-round.
What about shipping, returns and warranty?
Fast ground shipping from the USA, free returns if it isn't right, and two years on all hardware. Kitchens are oversize, so allow a little longer — and if you're moving around, tell us where you'll be and when. We can usually time it.
