See it work

Load it, then swing it clear

The platform bolts into your 2-inch receiver and stays there. When you need the bed or the rear doors, the patented dual-swing arm rotates the whole loaded platform out of the way — you don't unload it first.

No bed rack to build, no roof load to lift, no drilling.

Questions

Will it fit my vehicle?

If you have a standard 2-inch receiver, it fits — most trucks, SUVs and vans. Nothing gets drilled and nothing bolts to the body. If you're on a 1.25-inch receiver, email us first.

Can I open my tailgate or rear doors with it loaded?

Yes — that's the whole reason the swing arm exists. The platform rotates clear while it's still loaded, so you get full access without unpacking first.

How much can it carry?

The Ledge Cargo Platform is rated to 100 lbs and the Ledge XL to 200 lbs. The practical limit is usually your vehicle's hitch tongue-weight rating rather than the platform — check your owner's manual and stay inside it.

Ledge, Ledge XL or Field Box — which one?

The Ledge is the open platform for coolers, totes and firewood. The Ledge XL gives you 38" x 24" of deck for longer or bulkier loads. The Field Box is enclosed and lockable — pick it when the gear needs to be secure and out of the weather.

Will it block my license plate or tail lights?

Any hitch-mounted carrier can obscure a plate or lights depending on your vehicle and how you load it, and the rules vary by state. A plate relocation bracket or an auxiliary light kit solves it — tell us what you drive and we'll tell you what you need.

What about shipping, returns and warranty?

Fast ground shipping from the USA, free returns if it isn't right, no restocking fee, and two years on all hardware.

Do you ship outside the US and Canada?

We ship direct within the US and Canada. Anywhere else, you can order to a US freight forwarder, or we'll quote the whole order for you. See how international orders work or request a quote.

Questions

Does it work on a fifth wheel?

Yes, if your trailer has a frame-mounted 2-inch receiver at the rear — most fifth wheels and 5th wheel toy haulers do. The swing arm slides into it the same way it would on a truck.

Cargo is where receiver ratings actually bite, so confirm yours is rated to carry weight rather than just tow before you order. Send us a photo of the back of your rig and we'll give you a straight answer, including if the answer is no.

Will my travel trailer, RV or van receiver take a loaded platform?

Same check. On a van, a frame-mounted hitch is normally fine. On a motorhome or bumper-pull trailer, some rear receivers are rated for light loads only — that's the single thing worth settling before anything else.

How much weight is sensible that far behind the axle?

The Ledge is rated to 100 lbs and the Ledge XL to 200 lbs, but on a long rig the binding limit is usually your hitch's tongue-weight rating and how far the receiver sits behind the rear axle — weight out there has leverage. Check the rating stamped on your receiver and your owner's manual, and load the heavy items closest to the vehicle.

Will it clear my ladder, spare tire or rear camera?

Sometimes not on its own — rear ladders and bumper-mounted spares are the usual culprits on RVs and toy haulers. A hitch extender buys the clearance in most of those cases. Send us a photo of the back of your rig and we'll tell you whether you need one.

Can I tow and carry cargo at the same time?

Not on the same receiver — one thing at a time, and we won't pretend otherwise. With a fifth wheel the kingpin sits in the truck bed rather than the rear receiver, so your truck's hitch isn't the constraint. Either way, the usual answer is to put the platform on the trailer's own rear receiver.

The gear lives outside — what about weather and theft?

A HitchFire cover keeps the load dry, and cam straps stop it shifting over long travel days. If security matters more than volume, the Field Box is enclosed and lockable rather than an open platform.

What about shipping, returns and warranty?

Fast ground shipping from the USA, free returns if it isn't right, no restocking fee, and two years on all hardware. If you're moving around, tell us where you'll be and when — we can usually time it.

Do you ship outside the US and Canada?

We ship direct within the US and Canada. Anywhere else, you can order to a US freight forwarder, or we'll quote the whole order for you. See how international orders work or request a quote.
